Gwen Gnadt, OD, MPH, FAAO, joined Eye Vision Associates in New York 27 years ago, and over the years has seen the office grow to a booming three-partner practice located in Nesconset. Dr. Gnadt, now a senior partner, recently sat down with Women in Optometry to talk about the practice’s growth, and how they leveraged the Premier Program along the way.
In the article, Dr. Gnadt highlights the Premier Program indicator as a key benefit of the program because it helps them stand out and attract new patients. “When patients see the indicator on our website and on the VSP doctor directory, it differentiates us as a practice that can provide a lot of value,” explains Dr. Gnadt. Plus, Premier Program practices can offer their VSP® patients promotions and rebates they can’t find anywhere else. “We are able to show our VSP patients frames that qualify for the larger frame allowance with their benefits,” states Dr. Gnadt. “They love hearing that.”
Dr. Gnadt goes on to say that the decision to join the Premier Program was an easy one given the practice’s existing product offerings. “We looked at our numbers and saw that we were already meeting most of the targets,” she says. So, Eye Vision Associates made the small changes required to join the program to take advantage of the financial and marketing benefits it offered. Dr. Gnadt added that other practices may find that they, too, are already close to meeting the Premier Program targets, and might consider taking advantage of those benefits as well.
